Going north to go south.....huh?

Our plan today is to drive 50 miles north and then turn around and drive those same 50 miles south. Oh, and by the way we will attempt to drive it as slowly as possible. Sound crazy? Not if you are planning on driving the Avenue of the Giants, one of the most scenic roads in the world.

About 30 miles into our northward trek we pulled over, parked the RV behind a log that was twice as big as the RV and then we walked into the magical forest that is a Redwood Grove. John Muir referred to a Redwood Grove as “God’s Catherdal”.

It was a wonderful walk, all three of us enjoyed it. It was a "sensory banquet" of sights, sounds, and smells that haven't changed in centuries.
